No, this is not an argument about who proceeds from whom.
Bombay Sapphire is my gin of choice. Failing that, I am happy to settle for Tanqueray. Gordon's, I occasionally drink, if it is the day before pay day and money is a little scarce and there is nobody around who knows me. I find that own-brand gin serves as quite an acceptable substitute for lavatory cleaner, although one does have to be careful with the enamel.
So, what's your tipple?

I have to admit that I just bought a bottle of Bombay Sapphire, and, O shame of shames, I like to mix it with Tropicana orange juice. Yes, it's a little ghetto, I know. But I like the taste, and it really gets you ready for bedtime.
This is not at all shameful. I do the same - gin and tonic, with a little orange juice to tint the water. mmmmm. I find that Cranberry works just as well. (I shall perhaps be declared anathaema now - sigh).
Have you seen the Bombay Sapphire website? There is a whole plethora of cocktails.

Enjoy.
A friend, to whom I shall ever be in debt, introduced me to the delights of Bombay Sapphire.
I didn't partake of gin until I went to Dublin for work, and the (A/C) priest took me to the pub afterwards. There was no going back!
Is all right to mix gin with cranberry juice. But if you vodka with cranberry juice, is outrage™!

Glenfiddich 12 year or more (Glenlivet or Glenmorangie work as well), Cask No. 12 Ouzo, Razzouka Arak, Stonewall made with Jamaican Rum and any cider (hard cider for yanks), straight Scrumpy, Newcastle Brown Ale or Scottish Courage, and Port/Sherry (Warre's Warrior Special Reserve, Taylor Fladgate Special Ruby, Fonseca Ruby, Domecq La Fina Sherry), and Cherry Kijafa), and any number of Tequilas and Rums ... ah yes, and Cadillac/Gold/Blue Margaritas. But not all at the same time....
BTW, speaking as a bartender - it is both okay and normal to mix Vodka, Gin, Bourbon, Scotch, Tequila, and Rum with pretty much anything. Vodka is the most mixable liquor there is. Scotch is probably the least mixable IMHO.
For Gin or Vodka, try it with Grapefruit Juice ... its called a Greyhound. (With Cranberry, its a Cape Cod.)
Aha!
Thank you, Aristibule. I actually have the wherewithal to make both of those at the moment. I shall try the Greyhound later.
