The fermented juice of the grape, good and wholesome
Iknow that liturgically, the Orthodox amongst our number did this back September, and others at the beginning of December, but I just wanted to wish everybody the best for the new year. Thanks to all for all of your comments, advice, guidance and general fun over the past ten months or so. I look forward to more.

Thanks, both. Your posts have even more significance right now than you perhaps realise, due to plns that were made today, but more of that in an upcoming post.
In the meantime, I've just been reminded of a hymn that we used to sing at the end of our watchnight Mass in St Kitts. This is the first verse:
Father, let me dedicate
all this year to thee,
in whatever worldly state
thou wouldst have me be.
Not from sorrow, pain or care,
freedom dare I claim;
this alone shall be my prayer:
'Glorify thy name!'
