Here's a short, relaxing video about the Vigil in monastic practice. I included on my parish's webpage for enquirers because I think it captures something of the sense of Orthodox spirituality that would perhaps be lost from reading a book or article about it.

That's very well done. I'll have to point some folks to that.
I love that he points out the blessing of such a Vigil service being unhurried, that's always been what I loved about it.
